I am Italian and I NEVER go to Italian restaurants because they’re never better then what I make at home. However, Uncle Sal’s is PHENOMENAL. The gentleman on the phone was so wonderful when I called and helped me create the pizza I wanted. The pizza itself was TO DIE FOR! The crust was so fresh, the cheese was perfection and all the toppings were awesome.

I honestly could go on forever about this place. I even called to thank them personally for such a lovely experience. Everything about this experience was what great customer service and great food should be.

I loved Uncle Sal’s! I was visiting and rented a condo down the street. Everywhere I went people recommended it. We sat in the bar and the staff was awesome, the wine was great, the food was delicious and affordable. About a week later we went to The Side Door, a little pub attached to Uncle Sal’s and same owner. I had an excellent Chicago hot dog and my friend had the best mac and cheese. Then we went into Uncle Sal’s and had tiramasu for desert. SO good!

I have never had a bad meal at Uncle Sal’s. This is the type of italian place that has you unbuttoning your pants at the end of your meal AND taking left overs home! Great wine selection too!

Easily one the BEST Italian restaurants in Arizona… I use to live in central Scottsdale and would eat there 3 to 4 times a month… My current residence is 40 minutes NNE; and we drive by 100’s of restaurants to eat at Uncle Sal’s.

Best Burgers in a Long Time – AAA

My husband and I went to Uncle Sal’s for burgers on March 11, 2012. We sat in the bar. Nice friendly atmosphere, three flat screen TVs big rectangular bar with tables lining the four walls. Friendly staff and friendly patrons. Both the host and bartender made you feel welcome and right at home. We both ordered diet sodas. Hubby ordered a burger, medium rare with cheddar cheese and a side of sweet potato fries. I ordered my burger medium rare with provolone and regular fries. Both burgers were hand-formed and came cooked to order, they each had: lettuce leaves, red onion slices, two slices of beefsteak tomato and a dill pickle. Ample portions of mayonnaise, catsup and mustard were served on the side. It’s been a long time since we actually were able to have a burger cooked to order. Most places always overcook their burgers and then they’re too dry. The owner of Overeasy (a breakfast place in Phoenix) told us about Uncle Sal’s in Scottsdale, she said it was “the best place to get a really good hand-formed burger.” Boy, was she right or what! The menu at Uncle Sal’s was extensive, we can’t wait to come back to the Phoenix area so we can come back again and try some of the many Italian cuisine choices too. Oh by the way, my husband really liked the decor, even in the men’s room. There was a lot of sports memorabilia, etc.
